Argentina/Iran/Israel: Argentine leader asks UN to remember bombings on Jewish sites

September 27, 2018

Mauricio Macri also urges Iran to cooperate in investigation of the 1994 AMIA Jewish center terror attack, which killed 85 and injured hundreds

Argentina’s president spoke against global terrorism and remembered the victims of the 1992 and 1994 attacks in Buenos Aires in his address to the United Nations General Assembly.

Mauricio Macri also called on Iran to cooperate in the investigation of the 1994 AMIA Jewish center bombing, which killed 85 and injured hundreds. The late Argentinian prosecutor Alberto Nisman established that Iran was responsible for organizing the bombing, which was carried out by a Hezbollah suicide bomber.

“We suffered two serious attacks in 1992 and 1994, which claimed the lives of 107 people and hundreds wounded,” Macri said Tuesday in his address to the international body. “Our country will not cease in its objective: to get all the people involved in the attacks to appear before Argentine courts, to be interrogated and eventually convicted.

Argentina/Iran/Israel: Analysis of 40,000 recordings about AMIA bombing wins online journalism award

September 17, 2018

La Nacion takes prize for probe into audio Alberto Nisman used in his allegations of Argentina-Iran cover-up in Buenos Aires attack

An Argentine news outlet’s analysis of secret recordings about the bombing of the 1994 AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires beat out The Wall Street Journal and others to win an international journalism award on Saturday.

La Nacion, a daily, won the international Online Journalism Award from the Online News Association for excellence in audio digital storytelling for medium and large newsrooms.

Its “Prosecutor Nisman Phone Interceptions Mapped in Playlists” was developed through its data journalism website La Nacion Data and also was picked over The Guardian, KPCC public radio in Southern California and the Texas Tribune.

La Nacion Data Argentina analyzed 40,354 audio recordings that included information on which special prosecutor Alberto Nisman based his allegations that the government of former President Cristina de Kirchner cooperated with Iran to cover up the Islamic Republic’s role in the July 18, 1994, bombing of the Jewish center that killed 85.

The project included a two-year crowdsourcing effort to listen to 40,354 phone interceptions of the 986 hours of audio used by Nisman as the main evidence in his investigation; creation of a database with the 200 most important and relevant audios; and publication of those recordings in an interactive visualization tool.

The analysis conducted by 120 volunteers uncovered several pieces of information that had not been previously disclosed.

Nisman was found dead on Jan. 18, 2015, hours before he was to present his allegations concerning the Argentina-Iran agreement about the AMIA bombing. His allegations named the government of Kirchner as part of the cover-up of Iran’s role.

Whether Nisman’s shooting in his apartment was murder or self-inflicted has yet to be determined. Even though there is not a judiciary sentence yet, the current investigation is based on the hypothesis that the death of Nisman was murder, not suicide.

July 26, 2018

Earlier this month, a federal judge in Argentina formally asked the government of Russia to arrest Ali Akbar Velayati, an Iranian diplomat who traveled to Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Velayati, a personal envoy of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, travels the world these days to ensure that other governments hear the views of Iran’s ruling theocrat, particularly on the subject of the 2015 nuclear agreement.

Twenty-four years ago, Velayati was Iran’s foreign minister. Twenty-four years ago, on July 18, a car bomb destroyed the AMIA Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (Argentine Israelite Mutual Association) building in Buenos Aires. The blast killed 85 people and injured hundreds of others. Argentine investigators eventually tied the atrocity to the government of Iran.

Argentinian prosecutor Alberto Nisman, who investigated the bombing, was able to prove that the authorization for the attack was made during a meeting of Iran’s National Security Council on August 14, 1993. Nisman compiled an unassailable dossier of evidence that implicated several Iranian officials, including Velayati, in the horrible crime. Indeed, Velayati and seven other Iranian officials have been the subjects of international arrest warrants since 2006.

Nisman was eventually murdered for his fearless investigations. His killer, or killers, remain at large.

Argentina/Iran/Israel: Argentine Senators Discuss Removal of Ex-President Kirchner’s Legal Immunity Over AMIA Bombing, Alberto Nisman Killing

June 5, 2018

Argentine senators began discussions on Tuesday on the possible removal of former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s immunity from prosecution — less than a week after a federal court in Buenos Aires ruled definitively that Alberto Nisman, the federal prosecutor who was investigating the 1994 terrorist bombing of the AMIA Jewish center in the Argentine capital, along with the Kirchner government’s alleged cover-up of Iran’s culpability, was assassinated in January 2015.

Nisman’s body was found in his Buenos Aires apartment hours before he was due to present a formal complaint to Argentina’s Congress that detailed the alleged role of Kirchner and her government colleagues in covering up Iran’s responsibility for the AMIA atrocity. Eighty-five people died and hundreds more were wounded when a truck packed with explosives rammed into the AMIA building in downtown Buenos Aires on July 18, 1994.

While government-appointed investigators initially tried to depict Nisman’s death as a suicide, in December 2017 federal judge Julian Ercolini issued the first ruling that Nisman had been murdered. In the same month, the federal judge investigating Nisman’s original complaint against the former Kirchner government, Claudio Bonadio, indicted the ex-president and several of her close colleagues on treason charges related to a secret pact that effectively exonerated the Tehran regime for the AMIA bombing. Bonadio also requested formally that the Argentine Senate — of which Kirchner is an elected member — remove her legal immunity.

Argentina/Iran/Israel: Argentine federal court confirms AMIA prosecutor was murdered

June 2, 2018

Judge rules Alberto Nisman was killed as ‘direct consequence’ of his accusations of cover-up in 1994 Jewish center bombing; instructs ‘speedy and serious’ investigation

An Argentine federal appeals court confirmed Friday that special prosecutor Alberto Nisman, found dead in 2015 while investigating a 1994 Jewish center bombing, was murdered.

The Federal Court of Buenos Aires said there was no doubt that Nisman’s death was a homicide rather than suicide, El Pais reported, and came as a “direct consequence” of his accusations that then-president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner covered up Iran’s role in the attack on the Buenos Aires AMIA center that left 85 dead and hundreds wounded.

The court called on the judge overseeing the case to focus on the investigation of the homicide “with the speed and seriousness that such a grave matter imposes.”

The court thus confirmed a federal judge’s ruling in December that Nisman’s death “could not have been a suicide.”

Judge Julian Ercolini wrote in a 656-page ruling then that there was enough evidence to support foul play in the death of Nisman, who was discovered in his Buenos Aires apartment with a gunshot wound to the head, delivered at close range from a handgun found at his side.

Ercolini’s ruling also pointed to one suspect in the death: Diego Lagomarsino, an IT employee in Nisman’s office, who he said was a possible accessory to murder.

Nisman had previously accused the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terror group of carrying out the attack AMIA at the direction of Iran. He established how and when Iran commissioned the bombing and that Hezbollah recruited and dispatched the suicide-bomber, Ibrahim Berro, who drove the explosives-filled Renault Trafic van into the building on July 18, 1994.

The prosecutor later accused Kirchner and other officials of agreeing to ignore Iran’s involvement in exchange for commercial benefits for Argentina, in violation of the country’s penal code and the independence of the judiciary.

Argentina/Israel/Iran: President Kirchner, murder and uranium to Iran: President Obama made me do it

May 5, 2018

Argentine President Kircher, Uranium to Iran, Obama

Argentina South American haven for Jew-haters

Argentina, which proved a port in the storm for Nazis fleeing post-World War II Germany – which some believe include Adolf Hitler and his wife Eva Braun – seems to have also provided a base for Jew-hating Islamic terrorists operating in Buenos Aires.

The 1994 bombing of the Jewish Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA) building, which killing 85 and wounding hundreds, is thought to be the handy work of Iran-supported Hezbollah.

Alberto Nisman to the rescue

Nonetheless, after years of lukewarm government support for a free and fair investigation of the Buenos Aires bombing, 2004 saw the appointment of Argentine attorney Alberto Nisman as chief investigator.

He requested and received warrants for the arrest of Iranian and Hezbollah suspects from Interpol. Furthermore, in 2013, Nisman planned to testify before the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security regarding Iranian intelligence networks in Latin America. Conversely, the government of President Cristina Kirchner prevented him from leaving Argentina.

Nisman was to present evidence to his nation’s Congress of the Argentine government’s collusion with Iran. Unfortunately,  Nisman ended up dead in his apartment, the victim of a gunshot wound to the head. Officially it was suicide. In September 2017, the National Gendarmerie issued a report concluding that Nisman was murdered.

A treasonable act

But in 2017, Argentine federal Judge Julian Ercolini issued a 656-page report that in part reads,

“Nisman’s death could not have been a suicide… it was produced by third parties and in an intentional manner.”
