[VIDEO] 8 including pharmacists, lawyers detained over Gulen links

At least 8 people were rounded up as part of an investigation into the Gulen movement on Tuesday.

Stata-run Anadolu news agency said detention warrants were issued for 13 people in 3 provinces, Denizli, Kocaeli and Aksaray, over their alleged ties to the movement.

8 people, among them pharmacists and lawyers, were detained at the time of this writing.

Turkey survived a military coup attempt on July 15 that killed over 240 people and wounded more than a thousand others. The government blames the Gülen movement, inspired by US-based Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen while the movement denies the accusations.

Over 150,000 have lost their jobs due to their real or alleged connection to the Gülen movement since the coup attempt while 140,000 were detained and 60,000 arrested.
