The lawyers’ fraternity throughout Upper Sindh observed on Tuesday strikes in protest of the suicide bombing in Lahore on Monday, which claimed 13 lives and left many injured.

Responding to the call of the Sindh Bar Council, lawyers throughout Upper Sindh boycotted court proceedings and staged a protest to condemn the attack.

In Sukkur, carrying placards and led by the office bearers of District Bar Association, the lawyers staged a demonstration while shouting slogans against both the Indian prime minister and terrorists.

Strongly criticising the government, the lawyers said its wrong policies were the cause of these recent incidents of terrorism. Strongly condemning the Lahore suicide attack, they said that terrorists cannot confine people to their homes through such cowardly acts.

They resolved that the entire nation is standing shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army against the terrorists.
